Now Hiring a Financial Analyst

AIS is building a strong financial team centered around talented, hard-working individuals. This position includes responsibilities that support the CFO, Contracts Managers, Program Managers, and external auditors. Effective communication and a willingness to learn and grow will be essential to success in this role. This is a remote position but must be able to commute to Reston, VA as needed. Must be to obtain a clearance.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and submit invoices to Commercial and Government Clients
  • Monitor payment status of invoices
  • Set up and monitor appropriate revenue recognition formulas
  • Set up appropriate charge numbers as allowed by the contract
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis to the CFO and program managers
  • Report and forecast program performance internally. Metrics will include items like revenue, cost, margin, ROS, labor base, material base, and backlog.
  • Be the first line of defense in identifying and communicating abnormalities or areas of improvement
  • Provide proposal support as needed
  • Support internal financial audits

Required Qualifications:

  • up to 4 years of experience required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Statistics
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proactive and innovative problem-solving skills

Desired Qualifications:

  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced team environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with Unanet Accounting System
