As a Snowflake Architect, you will use cutting edge cloud and data technologies to power the mission of our clients and streamline services. Join our team of Data and Cloud professionals and accomplish what others only dream of. This is a remote position but may require travel to Chevy Chase, MD on a need-to-basis.

Profile of Success

  • Experience designing Enterprise Data Models including defining business subject areas, data subject areas into Conceptual, Logical and Physical models for a large Enterprise
  • Familiar with data warehousing concepts, Star and Snowflake schema.
  • Confident working with both IT and non-IT business stakeholders to define enterprise data models for different business verticals
  • Proficient creating high quality technical artifacts such as Source to Target Mappings (STMs) and Record Level Specifications (RLS)
  • Proficient with Erwin Data Modeler or similar tools
  • Understanding of relational database concepts, database normalization, the difference between OLTP and OLAP.
  • Familiarity with XML/JSON schemas
  • Perform data profiling using SQL
  • Prototype ETL transformation logic using Advanced SQL techniques

Desirable Skills

  • 4 years of experience as a Data Architect
  • Comfortable working with Big Data (petabytes)
  • Experience with data modeling in Insurance or Finance related industries.
  • Experience with Hadoop ecosystem
  • Experience with Collibra or similar tools for data governance
